We are partnering with Brenda Brayko of Celestial Sound this summer to introduce our members to a sound meditation experience as a part of a day of mindfulness, outdoor activities.

11:15 AM – We’ll drive to Brenda’s home for a private outdoor sound bath experience and guided meditation along the Bay. (Just a few short minutes away from Sensiba).
12:15 PM – We’ll enjoy healthy snacks and chat after our relaxing meditation.
1:00 PM – Event concludes
QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE:
How much does the event cost? The event cost is $25 per attendee. This covers the cost of the sound bath experience and healthy snacks. Tips are optional, but not required for Brenda. We are limiting the event to 10 attendees to keep the group size comfortable.
What is a sound bath? Despite the name, it’s not actually a bath with water. A sound bath is a guided meditation practice with instrumental sounds (crystal bowls, chimes, drums, gongs, rain sticks, etc.). The idea is that the relaxing sounds “wash” over you. Attendees lie or sit on a yoga mat, but are welcome to bring blankets, pillows for comfort. The experience is deeply relaxing; you may even fall asleep during it!
You can listen to an example of what a sound bath sounds like on Brenda’s YouTube channel here.
Do I need to know how to meditate? Nope! There is minimal talking in a sound bath. Brenda will begin and end the practice by speaking, but all you need to do is sit / lie back, relax and listen.
What kind of training does our practitioner have? Brenda studied in Hong Kong to become trained in leading gong meditations. She was introduced to the concept of sound baths while living Asia as an educator for more than a decade.
Where are we having the sound bath? Brenda (owner of Celestial Sounds) hosts private events at her home – which offers a beautiful outdoor space along the Bay. If weather does not permit being outside, she has a large living room with full windows facing the bay, so we’ll experience the relaxation of being near the water either way. Her home is located near Sensiba in Suamico, and an address will be provided for registered attendees.
